Introduction
Internet Relay Chat is a protocol for instant communication via the Internet. Internet Relay Chat allows us to carry on "live" conversations with people all over the world by typing messages back and forth across the Internet. Because it happens in real time - IRC is highly interactive. Its group primary tool to communicate & socialize. Its highly recommended that you should visit our channel frequently. If you have nothing much to say, just stop-by and say "Hello"!

Code of Conduct
The following code of conduct is to be followed while one stays at #lug-jaipur IRC channel and he/she will be only warned once before getting kicked or banned depending upon the OPs present in the channel at that time.
- Do not use any bad words or swear (to use profane and obscene language).
- You are free to express your opinion, only until someone gets hurt, this would mean personal attacks on the basis of cast, creed and religion and further, neither any racism or sexism will be accepted.
- We strictly don't tolerate SMS speak. If you are new to IRC and don't know what we mean please go through this link
- Public logging of channel is not allowed, you can log chat for your personal use only, no posting it over the internet for entertainment/fun etc.
- If someone is seen suggesting fork bomb , shred or rm -rf / to anyone he/she will not be tolerated. Please refrain from suggesting people these commands or any other such hacks / commands.
- This is a Linux User Group and not limited to linux but everything F/LOSS. Promoting other OS or closed source product for personal gain is not tolerated. Discussion on OS is fine and suggestions on open source alternatives that can be used on proprietary platforms are encouraged.
- If you are new to the channel it always helps to get started with a small introduction about yourself which in our opinion should include your Real Name and College name (if applicable).
